A chilling murder unfolded in Bengaluru’s Halasuru area on Tuesday evening when Shivakumar, alias Biklu Shiva, a 40-year-old with a criminal record, was brutally hacked to death outside his home near War Memorial Circle. A gang of four to five assailants, arriving in a car, attacked him with machetes and sharp weapons, leaving his inner organs, including his brain, exposed in a horrific scene.

The attackers fled immediately after the assault. Shivakumar, a known rowdy sheeter with 11 criminal cases registered against him at Bharathinagar Police Station, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was moved to a local hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Bharathinagar Police, led by Deputy Commissioner D Devaraj and Joint Commissioner Ramesh Banoth, visited the crime scene to oversee the investigation. A murder case has been registered, with preliminary probes pointing to past rivalries as a possible motive.
