A man was brutally beaten to death with a car jack rod in Bengaluru, with the shocking incident captured on CCTV, police said on Tuesday. The हत्या took place in the Ramamurthy Nagar area on Monday night, sending shockwaves across the locality and prompting swift police action.
The victim, identified as Kiran, was allegedly involved in a financial dispute with two men, Yuvaraj and Kangaraju. According to preliminary police investigations, all three individuals had been consuming alcohol prior to the incident. What began as a verbal argument over money soon escalated into a violent confrontation.
Police said that in the heat of the altercation, one of the accused picked up a metal jack rod—commonly used to lift vehicles during tyre repairs—and repeatedly assaulted Kiran. The attack was relentless, with multiple blows inflicted even after the victim fell to the ground, leaving him critically injured.

Disturbing CCTV footage of the incident has emerged, showing the victim lying motionless while the accused continued the assault. Investigators say the video clearly captures the sequence of events and is being used as crucial evidence in the case. The visuals have intensified public outrage due to the sheer brutality displayed.
After the assault, the accused fled the scene, attempting to evade capture. However, based on CCTV inputs and local intelligence, police were able to quickly identify and apprehend both suspects within hours of the incident. They are currently in custody and being interrogated.
Officials have registered a case of murder and are probing the exact motive behind the crime, including the nature of the financial dispute. They are also examining whether there were any prior altercations between the individuals involved.
