A 22-year-old diploma student moonlighting as a food delivery agent has been arrested by RT Nagar police for allegedly molesting a 21-year-old Brazilian model on October 17. The accused, identified as Kumar Rao Pawar, was tracked using digital order records and taken into custody on Saturday, with judicial remand ordered. The victim reported the incident eight days later, on October 25, after verifying CCTV footage.
The assault occurred around 3:20 PM when Pawar arrived at the victim’s employer-provided flat in RT Nagar—shared with two other foreign models—to deliver food ordered via an app. Police allege he inappropriately touched her in a sexual manner. Startled, the victim pushed him out and locked the door. She confided in her flatmates only after gathering courage, prompting them to alert their employer.
The employer reviewed CCTV recordings before lodging a formal complaint, leading to the registration of a case under BNS Section 75(1) (sexual harassment) and Section 76 (assault with intent to disrobe). The victim, in Bengaluru for two months, works for a reputed textile and apparel brand. Authorities confirm the arrest was swift once digital trails and video evidence aligned.

Further investigation is underway to determine if similar incidents occurred. The case has reignited concerns over safety protocols for delivery personnel and the vulnerability of women, especially foreigners, living alone in urban rental accommodations.
