The Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) is set to make a landmark investment of up to Rs 1 lakh crore in Telangana over the next decade, marking one of the company’s largest overseas ventures. The announcement was made by Senior Executive Eric Swider during the Telangana Rising Global Summit, which reported Day 1 investment agreements worth Rs 2.43 lakh crore.
According to official sources, TMTG has already signed agreements worth Rs 41,000 crore to establish an international media and smart technology hub in Telangana. The project aims to generate thousands of jobs and strengthen the company’s expanding presence in India.
Swider highlighted that the bulk of future investments would focus on Bharat Future City, a 765 sq km integrated urban township near Meerkhanpet. He described India as “the new centre of global technology capital” and praised the country’s emerging talent pool, noting that TMTG aims to be a part of India’s technological growth story.

The executive emphasized Telangana’s policy-friendly environment and credited assurances from the state chief minister for boosting investor confidence. “Capital flows to places where it is welcomed. Telangana is clearly a place on the rise,” Swider remarked. The announcement also coincided with the state’s plan to rename a road near the US Consulate as ‘Donald Trump Avenue’.
The Trump brand already has a presence in India through four luxury residential projects—Trump Towers in Mumbai, Pune, Gurugram, and Kolkata—developed through brand-licensing partnerships. The Telangana initiative, however, marks a shift toward deeper, capital-intensive investments in real estate, media, hospitality, and smart infrastructure.
Additional proposals within Bharat Future City include a world-class film city backed by actor Ajay Devgn, a Vantara-linked animal rescue centre, and hotel projects worth Rs 3,000 crore. The venture positions Telangana as a major hub for global investment, media, and smart urban development, with TMTG playing a key role in shaping the emerging township.
