Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia has written to Delhi High Court Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma stating that he will not be represented by any lawyer in proceedings related to the alleged liquor excise policy scam. The move comes shortly after former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made a similar declaration in connection with the same case.
In his letter, Sisodia reportedly said there was “no path left except Satyagraha” and expressed that he does not expect justice from the proceedings. He further stated that no counsel would appear on his behalf before the court. The remarks signal a political and legal protest strategy by AAP leaders amid ongoing litigation linked to the high-profile case.
Sisodia also referred to Solicitor General Tushar Mehta in the letter, making pointed comments about the judicial process and broader governance issues. His statement is likely to intensify political confrontation between the AAP and the BJP-led Centre, with the excise policy matter already a major flashpoint between the two sides.

Earlier, Kejriwal had written to the same judge saying that he would neither appear personally nor through legal representation in the excise policy case. The parallel stance taken by the party’s top leadership suggests a coordinated response designed to portray the proceedings as politically motivated and to frame their resistance in moral and symbolic terms.
The alleged Delhi excise policy scam has become one of the most closely watched legal and political cases in the capital. With both Kejriwal and Sisodia now publicly challenging the process through letters and refusal of legal representation, the matter is expected to draw sharper scrutiny in court as well as in the political arena.
