Unemployed youth in Chittoor and Annamayya districts will have access to more than 1,000 job opportunities through mega job melas being organised this week. The recruitment drives are scheduled in Chittoor on August 26 and 27, followed by another event at B. Kothakota in Annamayya district on August 29. The initiative is aimed at connecting job seekers with companies from sectors including manufacturing, automotive, retail, pharmaceuticals and business services.
In Chittoor, the district skill development wing will conduct the job mela at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering and Technology (SVCET) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on August 26 and 27. More than 20 companies are expected to participate in the recruitment drive, with over 500 candidates likely to be selected. The participating companies include Schneider Electric, Premier Energies, Isuzu, Foxconn, Flipkart, Apollo Tyres, Tata Electronics, TeamLease and Kia.
The recruitment opportunities cover a wide range of positions, allowing candidates with different educational backgrounds to apply. Job openings include relationship managers, business development executives, machine operators, production staff, pharmacists and trainees. The vacancies are expected to provide opportunities for both freshers and job seekers with relevant technical or professional qualifications.

Candidates with qualifications ranging from Class X and ITI to diploma, degree, B.Tech, MBA and B.Pharm will be eligible for different positions. This broad eligibility structure is expected to allow candidates from both technical and general education backgrounds to participate. Applicants will be assessed according to the requirements of individual companies and the positions for which they apply.
The recruitment programme is being organised as part of efforts to improve employment opportunities for young people in the two districts. By bringing several employers together at a single venue, the job melas are expected to make it easier for candidates to interact directly with recruiters and explore multiple vacancies. The participation of companies from sectors such as electronics, automobiles, energy, e-commerce and manufacturing is likely to provide a diverse range of career options.
The job melas are expected to attract a large number of candidates from Chittoor, Annamayya and surrounding areas. Officials have encouraged eligible job seekers to make use of the recruitment opportunities and attend the events with the necessary educational and identification documents. With more than 1,000 openings planned across the recruitment drives, the initiative could provide a significant opportunity for unemployed youth seeking entry-level and skilled employment in the region.
