OpenAI has launched a promotional offer granting Indian users one year of free access to ChatGPT GO, its entry-level premium subscription tier, as announced today. Priced at Rs 399 per month under normal conditions, ChatGPT GO delivers enhanced features over the basic free version of ChatGPT, including improved response times, priority access during peak hours, and basic customisation options, making it an attractive bridge to more advanced AI interactions.
This limited-time initiative, unveiled ahead of OpenAI's inaugural DevDay Exchange event in India, targets the country's burgeoning tech-savvy population to accelerate adoption. Nick Turley, Vice President and Head of ChatGPT, emphasised the strategic intent: "Ahead of our first DevDay Exchange event in India, we're making ChatGPT Go freely available for a year to help more people across India easily access and benefit from advanced AI. We're excited to see the amazing things our users will build, learn, and achieve with these tools."
