Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has announced a price increase across its sport utility vehicle (SUV) and commercial vehicle portfolio, with revised rates coming into effect from July 10. The automaker said the decision was taken due to rising commodity costs, with the increase varying depending on the model and variant.
According to the company, prices of its SUV range will rise by an average of 2.7%, while commercial vehicles will see an average increase of 2%. The company said the adjustment is necessary to offset the impact of higher input costs affecting vehicle production.
Mahindra & Mahindra stated that the price revision has been implemented across its vehicle lineup and customers purchasing different models may experience varying levels of price increases. The company did not specify individual model-wise changes in its announcement.

The latest increase marks the third price hike announced by Mahindra & Mahindra during the current financial year. The company had earlier revised vehicle prices in April and June, also citing cost pressures and changes in operating expenses.
Automakers in India have periodically adjusted vehicle prices due to fluctuations in raw material costs, supply chain expenses, and other production-related factors. Rising prices of commodities used in vehicle manufacturing can significantly impact overall production costs.
The company’s latest move comes as the Indian automobile sector continues to manage cost pressures while responding to changing market conditions. The revised prices will apply to Mahindra’s SUV and commercial vehicle customers from July 10 across its product range.
