Apple appears to be accelerating its retail expansion in India, with strong indications pointing to a new Apple Store in Hyderabad. The development comes shortly after the company confirmed plans to open a second Apple Store in Mumbai. New job postings on Apple’s India website have further fueled speculation about the Telangana launch.
Currently, Apple operates five branded retail stores across India, located in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Noida. The most recent outlet was inaugurated in December 2025 at the DLF Mall of India in Noida. Apple has consistently highlighted India as a key growth market for both retail and manufacturing.
Recent job listings show Apple is hiring a Manager, Senior Manager, and Store Leader for its retail division in Hyderabad. While the company has not officially announced the store’s location or launch date, these roles typically precede the opening of a physical Apple Store. This would mark Apple’s first retail presence in Hyderabad.

According to the job descriptions, the Senior Manager role involves leading store managers, recruiting and training staff, and ensuring a high-performing retail team. The role also requires active engagement on the shop floor, interacting with customers and employees to maintain Apple’s service standards.
Apple is seeking candidates with prior experience in retail, sales, and team leadership roles. The Store Leader will be responsible for building and guiding the store team while creating a dynamic customer-focused environment. These positions indicate Apple’s emphasis on strong in-store leadership and customer engagement.
The expansion plans follow CEO Tim Cook’s recent confirmation that a second Apple Store in Mumbai will open soon. Reports suggest the new Mumbai outlet may be located at Oberoi Sky City Mall in Borivali. Apple’s first Mumbai store, opened in August 2023 at BKC’s Jio World Drive, continues to attract large crowds.
