Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani on Tuesday unveiled a draft Reliance AI Manifesto, outlining a bold vision to transform the conglomerate into an AI-native deep-tech company while driving a tenfold productivity boost for its over 6 lakh employees and significant impact on India’s economy. Ambani described artificial intelligence as “the most consequential technological development in human history” and positioned Reliance to lead India’s AI revolution.
The manifesto is divided into two parts, with the first focusing on internal transformation. Ambani emphasized that AI will not be treated as a mere technology project but as a new way of working. Core operations, including procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, hire-to-retire, and plant-to-port workflows, will be redesigned to eliminate repetitive tasks, reduce friction, and enable real-time decision-making, while retaining human accountability.
Reliance plans to deploy small, cross-functional “pods” with single ownership and measurable outcomes, supported by continuous data-driven learning and automation. A 12-layer Digital Functional Core (DFC) blueprint will standardize data, security, integration, and controls across business units, ensuring governance, auditability, and safety while fostering speed and autonomy.

Part II of the manifesto extends Reliance’s AI ambitions to India at large, aiming to leverage its retail, telecom, energy, life sciences, and media ecosystems to create a 10x impact on society and the economy. Ambani highlighted potential opportunities in AI-driven discovery of new materials, green energy solutions, healthcare, education, and inclusive financial services.
The manifesto also encourages exploration of indigenous AI hardware, robotics, and energy-efficient systems to promote technological self-reliance. Ambani stressed that AI at Reliance will augment human potential, not replace employees, and will align with the company’s “We Care” philosophy to balance business growth with societal benefit.
Employees are invited to contribute ideas between January 10 and 26, which will shape the final manifesto. Ambani described the initiative as a shared commitment to “build a New Reliance and a New India,” emphasizing that AI adoption is central to transforming both organizational productivity and India’s technological future.
