Adani Group has reaffirmed its commitment to an investment blueprint exceeding Rs 6 lakh crore across Maharashtra, covering sectors including energy, aviation, urban regeneration, data centres and coal gasification. Pranav Adani, Director of Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL), made the remarks while addressing the 'Invest Maharashtra' event in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar. He said the group remained committed to supporting the state's development ambitions through large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects.
According to Pranav Adani, investments worth Rs 2.6 lakh crore from the group's broader commitment have already been completed or are under execution. He said the investment blueprint had been developed through engagements including the World Economic Forum in Davos and partnerships with the Maharashtra government. The commitments span multiple sectors that the group expects to play a role in as Maharashtra works towards its target of becoming a one-trillion-dollar economy by 2030.
A significant part of the group's activities in the state is focused on aviation infrastructure. Adani Group operates the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai and is developing the greenfield Navi Mumbai International Airport. Pranav Adani said the Navi Mumbai airport was designed to support the future growth of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and could eventually handle more than 90 million passengers annually. The group is also developing business and hospitality districts around the two aviation hubs.

Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited, another part of the group's operations in Maharashtra, supplies electricity to more than three million homes and establishments across Mumbai, according to Pranav Adani. He said more than 60 per cent of the company's power supply comes from renewable sources. He also highlighted the group's 1,000 MW High Voltage Direct Current transmission link, which supplies power to Mumbai's financial centre, along with pumped storage hydro projects planned across Maharashtra to support round-the-clock electricity requirements.
The group's investment plans also include urban redevelopment, with the Dharavi Redevelopment Project forming a major part of its stated activities in Mumbai. Pranav Adani described the project as a people-focused urban transformation initiative, with an emphasis on providing modern housing before relocation and supporting existing micro-enterprises. The stated objective is to integrate the area into Mumbai's wider economic and urban framework while retaining its community and economic networks.
Pranav Adani said the group's relationship with Maharashtra dates back several decades, but described its latest commitments as a significant expansion in both scale and scope. He positioned the investments as part of the state's broader infrastructure and economic development plans, particularly the growth of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The projects across aviation, energy, urban development and emerging industries are expected to form part of Maharashtra's longer-term efforts to expand infrastructure capacity and attract investment.
