U.S. President Donald Trump has once again forcefully denied any personal or illicit connection to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, declaring he has “nothing to hide” and has been “totally exonerated” amid renewed scrutiny following the release of federal records linked to the Epstein investigation.
Speaking to reporters during a press gaggle aboard Air Force One, Trump reiterated his longstanding rejection of all allegations tying him to Epstein’s criminal conduct. He stressed that the recently disclosed documents from the U.S. Department of Justice — comprising millions of pages of files, photos and videos — contain no evidence of wrongdoing by him, and he emphasized he had “nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein.”
The president also used the occasion to deflect criticism, asserting that political opponents, especially members of the Democratic Party, have politicized the Epstein case to damage his reputation. According to Trump, efforts to link him to Epstein are part of broader partisan attacks rather than factual investigations.

Trump’s latest statement follows federal efforts to release vast troves of documents related to Epstein’s criminal network. The DOJ has said it will eventually publish all unclassified files in its possession, including any that mention prominent figures, though internal memos and certain materials remain withheld pending review.
Epstein, who died by suicide in a U.S. detention facility in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex‑trafficking charges, was known for cultivating social ties with a range of influential individuals over decades. Trump and Epstein were photographed together at social events in the 1990s and early 2000s, and Trump has previously acknowledged only a social acquaintance before their relationship cooled years before Epstein’s arrest.
Despite Trump’s denials, the controversy over Epstein’s associations continues to reverberate across U.S. politics. Figures across the political spectrum have called for greater transparency that could fully dispel lingering questions about the extent and nature of interactions between Epstein and high‑profile individuals — including Trump — even as no criminal charges have been brought against the president.
