Actor and businesswoman Preity Zinta has spoken about the challenges of balancing a professional career with motherhood, saying women often take on multiple responsibilities at once. In a recent interview with IANS, she described women as “natural multitaskers” and said her own ability to manage work and family has been supported by having access to additional help.

Preity said the responsibilities handled by women extend beyond formal employment, pointing to the many roles mothers can manage within a household. She noted that working women may also return home after their professional duties and continue caring for their children and families, describing them as “super women” for managing multiple responsibilities.

The actor said she considers herself fortunate to have the resources that allow her to receive support while pursuing her professional commitments. She acknowledged that she would not have been able to undertake her work without assistance, while stressing that having help does not remove her responsibilities as a mother.

Preity also said that support from others cannot replace a mother’s role. She explained that her mother and other people are present to provide assistance, but balancing different priorities still requires making choices about where to focus at different times. According to her, managing career and motherhood is not easy, although having the means to access support can make the process more manageable.

The Veer-Zaara actor also expressed admiration for women who balance work and family responsibilities without having access to similar resources. She said their efforts deserve appreciation and added that she remains grateful for the choices available to her. Preity is based in Los Angeles with her American husband, Gene Goodenough, and their twins, Jai and Gia.

After an eight-year break from films, Preity recently returned to the big screen with the period drama Batwara 1947, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and backed by Aamir Khan Productions. The film, which stars Sunny Deol, was released in theatres on August 14, 2026, marking her return to acting alongside her continued personal and professional commitments.
