Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu is embracing her pregnancy journey and recently opened up about the experience during an Instagram Ask Me Anything session. The actor, who announced her pregnancy in June, interacted with fans on Friday and responded to several questions about motherhood and the changes that come with the phase.
During the session, Samantha revealed that she has gained 11 kg during her pregnancy. Her response came after a fan mentioned experiencing weight gain during pregnancy. Samantha also responded to other new mothers who shared experiences such as “mom brain” and the repetitive responsibilities involved in caring for a newborn.
Asked whether she was enjoying the pregnancy phase, Samantha responded positively, expressing that she was experiencing it wholeheartedly. She also reacted to a fan who described motherhood as motivating her to set higher standards for herself, admitting that she had expected to feel more overwhelmed but instead felt empowered by the experience.

Samantha recently took a break from work as she prepares for motherhood and has been sharing glimpses of the journey with her followers. She also posted pictures from a babymoon in Vietnam, giving fans a glimpse of her holiday as she and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru prepare to welcome their first child.
Samantha and Raj Nidimoru made their relationship official in 2025 following years of speculation after working together on projects including The Family Man Season 2 and Citadel: Honey Bunny. They later confirmed their relationship through a traditional ceremony at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore.
The couple also recently celebrated the success of Maa Inti Bangaaram, directed by Nandini Reddy. Samantha starred in and produced the film, while Raj served as its creator. The film reportedly crossed ₹100 crore worldwide, adding to a significant period in Samantha’s professional and personal life as she prepares for motherhood.
