Actor Rashmika Mandanna has completed filming an ambitious underwater action sequence for her upcoming film Mysaa, with the makers claiming it to be India's first female-led underwater fight sequence. The actor performed the demanding stunts herself without the use of a body double, spending nearly 20 hours underwater across two days to bring the sequence to life.

Director Rawindra Pulle shared the update on Instagram on Thursday, offering fans a behind-the-scenes look at the challenging shoot. The images showed Rashmika dressed in a wetsuit, surrounded by divers and crew members as she received instructions before filming.

The pictures highlighted the extensive preparations involved in executing the underwater action scenes safely and effectively. According to the film's production team, the sequence required Rashmika to remain underwater for extended periods while performing complex action choreography.

The makers said the actor completed the physically demanding scenes without relying on an action double, underscoring the level of preparation and commitment required for the role. Another still released by the team showed Rashmika in character with visible scars across her back, hinting at the intensity of the action and the character's journey in the film.

Sharing the update on social media, Pulle described the sequence as a milestone for Indian cinema. "India's First Female Underwater Fight Sequence, led by @rashmika_mandanna. The Surface Was Never the Limit. Beneath the depths lies a battle unlike anything Indian cinema has seen. Get ready to witness the fury," he wrote. The announcement has generated significant interest among fans, with many praising Rashmika's willingness to perform the challenging sequence herself.
