Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan and actor Sonu Sood expressed grief after the death of 17-year-old Niranjan, a fan battling Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), days after they met him and helped fulfil some of his wishes. The teenager’s death on Wednesday left both actors mourning his passing and remembering their interaction with him. Pawan Kalyan had met Niranjan on June 17 at the teenager’s residence in Hanumakonda.

During the meeting, the actor-politician spent time with Niranjan and his family, extended financial assistance of ₹1 lakh and brought prasadam for him. He also promised to fulfil the young fan’s wish of receiving a puppy. Hours after their meeting, Pawan Kalyan arranged for the puppy to be delivered to Niranjan and also sent him an iPad. The gesture had brought happiness to the teenager, who was described as a devoted fan of the actor.

The interaction was widely shared on social media and received appreciation from fans. Following the news of Niranjan’s death, Pawan Kalyan shared his condolences and said he was deeply affected by the loss. He recalled meeting the teenager and expressed sadness over the fact that their interaction had taken place only days before his passing. Sonu Sood, who had also met Niranjan, described his death as an “unimaginable loss” and offered condolences to the family.
