Sunita Ahuja broke down emotionally on the reality show Lock Upp after protesting over the quality of food provided to contestants, refusing to eat or participate in tasks and expressing her desire to quit the show. During the episode, she claimed that her husband, actor Govinda, had advised her against joining the programme, saying she regretted not listening to him.

The dramatic sequence unfolded after Sunita refused to eat with the other contestants, alleging that the food served inside the house was of poor quality. Visibly upset, she lashed out at the show's makers and urged fellow inmates to support her protest. She complained that contestants were being forced to "beg for food" and criticised the soup served in the house, using abusive language to express her frustration.

After reportedly spending the night without eating, Sunita became emotional the following morning and reiterated that she wanted to leave the show immediately. Referring to Govinda by his nickname "Chi Chi," she said he had repeatedly warned her not to participate in the reality series. "Mere ko Chi Chi mana kar raha tha — mat ja, mat ja... Jab jab uska baat nahi maana na pachtayi hoon main," she said, adding that she no longer wished to remain in the competition.

The actor was seen trying to calm her as she continued to express frustration over the living conditions and food arrangements inside the house.
