Veteran Actress Sudha Chandran has responded to widespread social media trolling following the viral circulation of videos from a Mata Ki Chowki she hosted on January 3, 2026. The clips captured her in a deeply emotional and trance-like devotional state during the religious gathering, attended by family and industry friends. In the footage, Sudha appeared overwhelmed with divine energy, at times requiring attendees to calm her as she seemed to move intensely, including a moment where she appeared to attempt biting those nearby. The videos quickly spread online, prompting mixed reactions ranging from concern to criticism.
Speaking to Zoom, Sudha described the experience as profoundly positive and spiritual, saying, “It is a moment everyone wants to live in. Maa Shakti aapke andar aake voh energy de rahi hai (Goddess Shakti enters your body and gives you energy). I am one of those blessed souls, and mere zariye logon ko voh blessings mil rahe hai; it is the happiest moment in my life.”
Sudha firmly dismissed the need to justify her devotion, stating, “I am not here to justify. I have my perception towards life. I have certain connections that I respect. Mujhe logon se koi lena dena nahi hai. Joh troll karte hai, acchi baat hai, khush rahe apne zindagi mein (I don't care about those people. The ones who are trolling, good for them. Be happy.” Sudha emphasized that she values the connection felt by millions who resonated with the moment far more than the opinions of detractors.
Reflecting on her lifelong approach to criticism, Sudha recalled facing similar judgment after her accident decades ago, when people questioned her choices, only to later celebrate her success. “In my life, I have never thought about log kya bolenge,” she said. “Even after my accident, logon ne kaha tha ki kya bewakoofi kar rahi ho tum... Lekin jab vahi ek success story ban jata hai, log usi ke baare mein charcha karte hai.” She concluded by affirming that devotion remains a deeply personal matter, adding, “I don't judge or criticize anyone's devotion. I am not answerable to anyone's questions or trolls. I am a self-made woman, and I will continue living my life with dignity, respect, and blessings from the divine.”
