Actor Vishal Aditya Singh became the first contestant eliminated from Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 after losing a reptile-based task to Ruhanikaa Dhawan and Rubina Dilaik. His departure in the episode aired on Sunday, August 9, disappointed several viewers who had expected him to remain in the competition longer.
Vishal entered the elimination round after finishing among the bottom three alongside Ruhanikaa and Rubina. The contestants had to enter a glass enclosure containing snakes, unlock themselves and identify the reptiles using photographs. Vishal correctly identified three snakes, while Ruhanikaa recognised four and Rubina led the task with five.
The elimination round followed an earlier challenge involving Vishal, Ruhanikaa, Rubina and Harsh Gujral. During that task, the contestants had to endure hot wax being poured onto their arms and collect as much as possible. Harsh won the challenge, while Ruhanikaa withdrew before completing it, sending the remaining contestants towards the elimination stage.

Vishal said while leaving the show that luck had not been on his side. Speaking separately about his experience, he described Khatron Ke Khiladi as physically demanding and said contestants could face injuries, vertigo, vomiting or fever. He also cited Cape Town’s cold, rain and strong winds as additional challenges during filming.
Social media users expressed disappointment over the result, with some arguing that Vishal did not deserve to be eliminated first. Several viewers called for his return as a wildcard contestant, while others suggested that his height, body type and reported shoulder injury may have placed him at a disadvantage during the elimination stunt.
The season has also faced questions over contestant safety after images showed Gaurav Khanna with visible marks sustained during another stunt. The producers have said that stringent safety procedures are followed during filming. Hosted by Rohit Shetty, Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 premiered on August 1 and releases new episodes every weekend on Colors TV and JioHotstar.
