Writer-producer Haarsh Limbachiyaa has spoken candidly about public perceptions surrounding his marriage to popular comedian Bharti Singh, reflecting on how he navigated comparisons that framed her as the “more successful” partner in their relationship.
In a recent conversation on Neha Dhupia’s digital show alongside actor Angad Bedi, Haarsh addressed the societal bias that often expects men to be more professionally successful than their wives. He said such assumptions initially made him uncomfortable, particularly as public attention frequently highlighted Bharti’s established success in comedy and television.
Haarsh explained that over time, he shifted his focus from external perceptions to professional growth. He noted that he was already working as a well-paid writer before expanding into production and creative direction, saying these steps were part of his effort to build his own identity in the entertainment industry rather than remain defined by comparisons.

He also credited his work on comedy programming, including contributions to shows like Comedy Nights Bachao, as pivotal in strengthening his confidence and establishing himself as a creator. During the discussion, Bharti and Haarsh also reflected on the influence of leading comedians in India, praising figures such as Kapil Sharma for their natural comedic talent and timing.
The couple, who married in 2017 after several years of dating, continue to be among the most recognisable faces in Indian television entertainment. They are parents to two children and currently host the reality-comedy show Laughter Chefs – Unlimited Entertainment Season 3, further solidifying their presence in the industry as both collaborators and public figures.
