The 89-second teaser for Tamil actor Ajith Kumar’s 63rd release ‘Good Bad Ugly’ which released on Friday packs in so much Ajith Kumar nostalgia, that one is left catching up. Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the teaser features Ajith in a high-octane, action-packed avatar, with no glimpses of the rest of the main cast. The director integrates subtle yet striking references from Ajith’s filmography, making it a treasure trove for his longtime fans.
The teaser introduces Ajith as Red Dragon, possibly a nod to his 2002 film Red, where he played a rugged character. His introduction from a car with a number plate reading “AK 63” acknowledges this as his 63rd film. A shot of Ajith in an all-black suit is reminiscent of his Billa days, while another moment, where only the word “DARK” briefly lights up before revealing Ajith, adds to the intrigue.
One of the teaser’s standout moments comes when Ajith delivers a cold stare while chewing something—a callback to his villainous role in Vaalee. Fans can also spot hand gestures from Vedalam and Attagaasam, and his clean-shaven look echoes Dheena.
Good Bad Ugly is set to hit theatres on April 10. The film, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, features music by GV Prakash and an ensemble cast including Trisha, Arjun Das, and Prasanna. Abinandhan Ramanujam handles cinematography, with Vijay Velukutty as the editor. Netflix has secured the film’s post-theatrical streaming rights.
With its action-packed teaser and nostalgic tributes, Good Bad Ugly promises to be an exhilarating ride for Ajith fans. Trisha’s role and Ajith’s stylish look in the film have already been generating significant buzz among the fans.
