Punjabi music sensation AP Dhillon recently shared a landmark moment with legendary rock band Linkin Park, expressing heartfelt gratitude for their influence on his music career. Taking to Instagram, Dhillon posted three pictures with the band members, writing, “Honoured to meet these legends. Thank you for inspiring me, @linkinpark,” accompanied by a guitar emoji.
Formed in 1996, Linkin Park’s current lineup includes Mike Shinoda (vocals/rhythm guitar/keyboard), Brad Delson (lead guitar), Joe Hahn (DJ/turntables), Dave Farrell (bass), Emily Armstrong (vocals), and Colin Brittain (drums). The band’s first seven albums featured late lead vocalist Chester Bennington and drummer Rob Bourdon. After Bennington’s tragic passing in 2017, the band took a seven-year hiatus, during which Bourdon also departed. Their reformation in 2024 saw the addition of Armstrong and Brittain.
Linkin Park rose to global prominence with their 2000 debut album Hybrid Theory, followed by Meteora in 2003 and Minutes to Midnight in 2007, solidifying their place as one of the most successful rock acts of all time. With over 100 million records sold worldwide, they have won two Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, 10 MTV Europe Music Awards, and three World Music Awards.

His international presence grew as he became the first Punjabi artist to perform at the 2023 Juno Awards in Edmonton, Canada, showcasing the global reach of his music.
Meeting Linkin Park marked a symbolic milestone for Dhillon, bridging the worlds of Punjabi music and global rock and serving as a source of inspiration for his ongoing artistic journey.
