Rumours surrounding the marriage of actress Mouni Roy and businessman Suraj Nambiar intensified on social media after users noticed that the couple had reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram. Speculation about a possible separation gained momentum after Suraj’s Instagram account appeared to have been deleted and several wedding photographs were no longer visible on Mouni’s profile. Neither Mouni nor Suraj has officially commented on the rumours so far.
Amid the online discussion, an old interview clip of Mouni speaking about handling disagreements in marriage resurfaced and quickly went viral across social media platforms. In the interview with Bollywood Bubble, the actress had reflected on resolving conflicts after marriage, saying, “What’s the point of prolonging this fight or this argument? So, you come to a middle ground much quicker than when you're just boyfriend and girlfriend.” She had also emphasised the importance of understanding and support in relationships, adding that couples should “give more love” and “be there for each other more.”
The renewed attention around the actress’s past remarks comes as fans continue to speculate about the current status of the couple’s relationship. On Wednesday, Mouni shared a birthday message for her close friend Roopali Kadyan on social media, marking her first public post since rumours of a split began circulating online. However, the actress did not address the speculation directly, further fuelling curiosity among followers and entertainment media.

Mouni and Suraj married on January 27, 2022, in Goa in a series of traditional ceremonies attended by family members and close friends. The celebrations included haldi and sangeet functions, followed by both Malayali and Bengali wedding rituals to honour the couple’s cultural backgrounds. A post-wedding pool party was also organised as part of the festivities. Following their marriage, the couple frequently shared photographs from vacations, celebrations, and personal moments on social media.
Suraj, originally from Bengaluru, is a businessman and investment banker who reportedly lived in Dubai before his marriage to Mouni. Over the years, the couple maintained a visible social media presence and were often seen attending public events together. Their online interactions and shared posts had made them one of the more closely followed celebrity couples in the entertainment industry, which has contributed to the heightened public interest in the recent rumours.
Mouni remains a prominent figure in Indian television and cinema, known for her performances in popular shows such as Naagin, Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev, and Kasturi. She has also appeared in reality shows including Nach Baliye 6 and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7.
