Actor Saif Ali Khan has purchased a lavish home at The St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island in The Pearl, Doha, just three months after surviving a knife attack at his Mumbai residence.
At a press event hosted by Alfardan Group, Saif shared what drew him to the Qatari property. He described it as “a home away from home,” citing the country’s safety, scenic beauty, and close proximity to India as key factors. “It’s not very far and easily accessible. But most importantly, it feels very safe and good to be there,” he said.
Saif was first introduced to the property while working on a project in Doha. Enchanted by the blend of privacy and luxury, he decided to invest. “There’s something about the lifestyle—the food, the views, the pace of living. It’s peaceful and secluded, if that’s what you’re looking for,” he added.

The actor also expressed his excitement about sharing the new home with his family, especially his sons, Taimur and Jehangir.
This move comes after a traumatic incident in January, when Saif was stabbed during an attempted robbery at his Bandra home. The attack left him with serious injuries to his thoracic spine. He was hospitalized for five days and has since recovered.
Beyond his new Qatari residence, Saif owns several properties, including his Bandra apartment, the ancestral Pataudi Palace, and homes in London and Gstaad.
Up next, Saif stars in ‘Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins’, a Netflix film streaming from April 25. Co-starring Jaideep Ahlawat and Kunal Kapoor, the thriller follows a duo attempting to steal the rare African Red Sun diamond.
