Yash's festive release Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has seen a sharp decline in box office numbers since the second day of its release, though the film retained a measure of stability entering the final stretch of its first week in theatres. On Day 7, the film collected a net of ₹8.20 crore across 12,894 shows in India, marking a modest 7.2 percent rise over its Day 6 collection of ₹7.65 crore. While the uptick offered a mildly encouraging sign after several days of steep decline, the figure remained short of double digits and was notably close to the discounted first-Monday numbers the film had recorded earlier in its run, courtesy of lower-priced tickets rather than any significant surge in organic demand.

With the latest addition, Toxic's total net collections in India now stand at ₹229.95 crore, while its total India gross collection has reached ₹272.80 crore, according to trade tracking website Sacnilk. Overseas, the film added ₹1.50 crore on Day 7, pushing its total overseas gross collection to ₹40.75 crore and taking its overall worldwide gross past the significant ₹300 crore threshold, reaching ₹313.55 crore in total after a full week in cinemas. Toxic opened with ₹101.10 crore on its first day, a number that immediately positioned it among the year's bigger openers, before dropping sharply to ₹37.65 crore on Day 2, ₹27.20 crore on Day 3, and ₹25.15 crore on Day 4. Collections held relatively steady at ₹23 crore on the first Sunday, before falling further to ₹7.45 crore on Monday and rising only marginally to ₹8.20 crore on Tuesday, the seventh day of release. The pattern illustrates the challenge many high-profile theatrical releases face in sustaining weekday momentum once the initial weekend rush subsides.

Given this scale of investment, the film's ability to sustain momentum into its second weekend, when many titles see a modest rebound in collections, is likely to be closely watched by trade analysts and industry observers assessing whether it can move meaningfully closer to recovering its reported budget.

The film marks Yash's long-awaited return to the big screen following the massive success of the KGF franchise, which transformed him from a predominantly Kannada-language star into a genuine pan-India phenomenon. When the original KGF released in 2018, Yash had limited recognition outside the Kannada film industry and the film opened relatively modestly by comparison to today's expectations.
