Actress Sreeleela, who recently shot to nationwide fame with her viral dance number Kissik in Pushpa 2, has shared a deeply personal chapter of her life. In a candid conversation, the young star spoke about adopting two children at the age of 21, a decision she kept private for several years. Her revelation has drawn widespread attention and admiration.

Speaking to Galatta Plus, Sreeleela admitted that talking about the adoption still makes her emotional. She said she often “falls short of words” and feels jittery when discussing the subject. The actress clarified that while the children do not live with her, they are well cared for and remain an important part of her life.

Elaborating on how the adoption came about, Sreeleela revealed that the decision was influenced during the early stages of her career. While working on her 2019 Kannada film Kiss, her director took her to an ashram where she met the children. She stayed connected with them through regular visits and phone calls, choosing to keep the gesture private for a long time.

The actress said the institution later encouraged her to speak publicly about the adoption to inspire others. However, Sreeleela emphasized that she never wanted personal credit for the act. Instead, she hopes her story motivates people to consider supporting or adopting children in need. She also shared that her “motherly instinct” is strong and that she naturally nurtures those around her.

In February 2022, Sreeleela officially adopted two differently-abled children named Guru and Shobhitha. At the time, she was just 21 years old. Her decision was quietly carried out, away from the spotlight, reflecting her preference for privacy in deeply personal matters.

Last year, an Instagram post featuring a baby girl sparked speculation about a possible third adoption. Sreeleela later clarified that the child was her niece, not an adopted child. With this clarification, the actress reaffirmed her commitment to transparency while maintaining boundaries around her personal life.
