Hollywood icons Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock are set to reunite on-screen after nearly two decades in an upcoming romantic thriller being developed by Amazon MGM Studios. The film, currently untitled, marks the duo’s first collaboration since 2006’s The Lake House and their third overall following the blockbuster hit Speed in 1994.
Described by the studio as a “propulsive” romantic thriller, the project is being penned by Noah Oppenheim, known for Jackie and The Maze Runner. Plot details remain tightly under wraps, but expectations are high given the star power and the reunion of key creatives — including Speed producer Mark Gordon, whose credits include Saving Private Ryan and The Patriot.
Reeves and Bullock will not only star in the film but also serve as producers. Bullock is producing through her banner Fortis Films, with Reeves, Gordon, and Bibby Dunn from The Mark Gordon Company also attached. Oppenheim and Sarah Bremner will produce under Prologue Entertainment.

The pair last made headlines together at a Speed anniversary screening at Beyond Fest in Los Angeles, where they fondly reminisced about working with director Jan de Bont. While playfully toying with the idea of a “geriatric” Speed 3, both actors agreed that recapturing that original energy would be no easy feat.
Reeves remains active in Hollywood, with John Wick 5 and Good Fortune — a comedy directed by Aziz Ansari — in the pipeline. Bullock, currently keeping a low profile, is expected to return for the long-awaited sequel to Practical Magic alongside Nicole Kidman.
With two beloved leads, a mysterious plot, and seasoned producers on board, the romantic thriller promises a compelling return for one of cinema’s most charismatic screen pairings.
