The 97th Academy Awards will be streamed live in India on JioHotstar and aired on Star Movies and Star Movies Select, the platforms announced on Thursday. The prestigious event will take place on March 3 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, with streaming beginning at 5:30 AM IST. A repeat telecast will be available at 8:30 PM on Star Movies and Star Movies Select.

“The 97th Academy Awards streaming LIVE, March 3, 5:30 AM onwards, only on #JioHotstar,” the streaming platform announced on X. The ceremony will also be available on-demand on JioHotstar after the live broadcast.

"Audiences across the country can witness the entertainment industry's most prestigious night unfold in real time, celebrating the finest achievements in global cinema. The ceremony will also be available after the live broadcast on JioHotstar," a press release said.

Comedian and former late-night host Conan O'Brien will make his Oscars hosting debut this year. The star-studded event will see presenters including Oprah Winfrey, Scarlett Johansson, Harrison Ford, Andrew Garfield, Gal Gadot, and last year’s Oscar winners Robert Downey Jr., Cillian Murphy, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, and Emma Stone.

Leading the nominations is Jacques Audiard's Emilia Perez, a Spanish-language, French-made film, with 13 nods. Wicked and The Brutalist follow with 10 nominations each, while Conclave and A Complete Unknown have eight nominations apiece. Other major contenders include Anora with six nominations.
