The footage has reignited long-standing rumours of a romance between Karisma and Akshaye in the early 2000s. Speculation had peaked after Karisma’s brief engagement to Abhishek Bachchan was called off in 2002 and following reports of her growing closeness with Akshaye post her alleged fallout with Ajay Devgn. Sunjay later married Delhi socialite Priya Sachdev. Tragically, Sunjay Kapur passed away in June 2025 after suffering a massive heart attack during a polo match in England, leaving behind a bitterly contested ₹30,000-crore estate now embroiled in a succession dispute involving Priya, Karisma, and all four children.
