Actor Yash has revealed an interesting detail about his preparation for the role of Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming epic film Ramayana, saying that he would often create a high-energy atmosphere on set by playing loud music through large speakers. The actor, who stars alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in the much-awaited project, said the music helped him get into the mindset of portraying the powerful mythological character.

Yash, along with filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, producer Namit Malhotra and co-star Ranbir Kapoor, recently attended San Diego Comic-Con to promote Ramayana. During an interaction on the Review Nation YouTube channel, the team discussed their experiences while working on the film and spoke about how they approached their respective characters. Speaking about preparing for his role as Ravana, Yash said the character's appearance itself helped him transition into the role.

He explained that wearing Ravana's heavy crown and stepping onto the set played an important part in helping him connect with the character's personality and presence. According to the actor, the physical transformation helped him enter the world of the epic story every day during filming. However, Yash also shared a humorous behind-the-scenes story about how his approach affected the atmosphere on set. When director Nitesh Tiwari reminded him about his music habits, the actor joked that he had "spoiled the whole atmosphere" while working.

He explained that although he was serious about getting into character, his method involved playing music loudly before filming. "I used to get big speakers and just play music in full volume. So, I used to be in that zone. I used to play Shiva songs. Ravana is a big devotee of Lord Shiva. I used to play that and I wanted to be in that trance," Yash said. The actor added that the loud music became a regular part of his preparation process and even affected conversations on the set.

He jokingly said that people around him had difficulty talking because the speakers were playing at high volume. The habit, however, was part of his effort to understand Ravana's devotion, intensity and larger-than-life personality. Ranbir Kapoor also spoke about Yash's impact on the set, saying that although he had not yet filmed scenes with the Kannada actor, others who worked with him had mentioned how he changed the energy around him. According to Ranbir, Yash's preparation style brought a different atmosphere to the production. Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana.

The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, is among the most ambitious Indian cinematic projects currently in production. The makers have been building anticipation around the scale, visual effects and performances associated with the adaptation of the ancient Indian epic. Yash's comments offer a glimpse into the dedication and personal methods actors use while preparing for challenging roles. By using music associated with Lord Shiva, the actor said he aimed to connect with the spiritual and powerful aspects of Ravana's character, who is traditionally depicted as both a formidable warrior and a devoted follower of Shiva.
