The legendary "The Godfather" trilogy, directed by American cinema icon Francis Ford Coppola, is set to make a grand return to Indian theatres in a meticulously restored 4K format, PVR INOX announced today. This landmark cinematic event will bring the timeless saga of the Corleone family back to the big screen, offering audiences an unparalleled viewing experience.
The trilogy, comprising The Godfather (1972), The Godfather Part II (1974), and The Godfather Part III (1990), will be re-released in select PVR INOX theatres across India. The rollout begins with the first instalment on September 12, followed by the second on October 17, and the third on November 14.
Adapted from Mario Puzo’s bestselling novel, the trilogy chronicles the rise and fall of the Italian-American mafia family led by Don Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando) and the transformation of his son Michael (Al Pacino) into a formidable mafia leader.
