Aditya Sarpotdar’s Thamma, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, has crossed the ₹91 crore mark in India within six days of release. According to Sacnilk, the film earned approximately ₹13 crore on Sunday (Day 6), slightly down from ₹13.10 crore on Saturday. Released in Hindi and Telugu, the Hindi version dominates collections, while the Telugu dub has contributed just ₹70 lakh so far.
The film opened with a strong ₹24 crore on its post-Diwali release day (Tuesday), followed by ₹18.60 crore on Wednesday. It maintained momentum with ₹13 crore on Thursday (Bhai Dooj), but dipped to ₹10 crore on Friday before recovering over the weekend. Despite the fluctuations, Thamma has outperformed Maddock Films’ earlier horror-comedies like Stree (2018), Bhediya (2022), and Munjya (2024) in the same timeframe.
Within the franchise, Thamma trails only Stree 2, which had crossed ₹100 crore in four days and earned ₹55.90 crore on its first Sunday alone. Stree 2 ultimately closed with ₹597.99 crore domestically. Meanwhile, the competing Diwali release, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, has collected ₹41.25 crore in six days.
