Popular playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan became emotional during a live performance in Lucknow after revealing she was suffering from a severe throat problem. The incident occurred on March 7 at Coolbreeze Resorts, where the singer was performing as part of her ongoing nationwide concert series. Videos from the event quickly spread across social media, showing the singer pausing mid-performance to apologise to fans for not being able to deliver her usual vocal performance.
During the concert, Chauhan addressed the audience directly, explaining that her voice was not in good condition. Fighting back tears, she told the crowd that she had a “terrible throat” and admitted she was embarrassed by the situation. The singer said that such a moment had never happened to her before during a live show and expressed regret for not being able to perform at her full potential.
Despite the discomfort, Chauhan chose to continue performing for the audience. She asked fans for their understanding and forgiveness while acknowledging that she always aims to give her best during live performances. Audience members responded with loud cheers and encouragement, showing support as the singer resumed the show despite the vocal strain.

Clips from the concert show Chauhan dressed in a shimmering romper-style jumpsuit as she paused during her set to explain the situation. Her emotional appeal to the audience highlighted the pressures artists face during live performances, especially when health issues arise unexpectedly. The moment quickly gained traction online, with many fans praising her honesty and dedication to continue the show despite her condition.
The Lucknow performance was part of Chauhan’s ongoing I Am Home India Tour 2025–26, which began in December 2025. The tour has taken the singer to several major cities across India, allowing fans in different regions to experience her live performances as part of the nationwide musical event.
The tour started in Mumbai on December 24, 2025, and has since travelled to cities including Delhi, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, and Chennai. Chauhan’s next scheduled performance is set to take place in Kolkata on March 14 at Aquatica Ground, which will mark the final stop of the tour.
