As Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th birthday approaches, the excitement among his fans has reached fever pitch. Social media is already flooded with tributes, throwback clips, and emotional posts celebrating the superstar’s three-decade-long cinematic journey. Adding to the celebrations, Khan announced a unique gift for fans — a nationwide theatrical re-release of his most iconic films as part of a two-week special film festival.
Organised in collaboration with PVR INOX Cinemas, the “Shah Rukh Khan Film Festival” will begin on October 31 and run across more than 75 theatres in over 30 cities across India. The event promises moviegoers a rare opportunity to revisit the magic of Khan’s timeless performances on the big screen once again. According to Variety, the curated lineup will include seven of his most loved films, capturing his extraordinary versatility across genres and eras.
Among the classics featured are ‘Chennai Express,’ ‘Devdas,’ ‘Dil Se,’ ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na,’ ‘Main Hoon Na,’ ‘Om Shanti Om,’ and the 2023 blockbuster ‘Jawan.’ Each film represents a defining phase of Khan’s career — from his early romantic charm to his evolution into one of Bollywood’s most bankable global icons. Fans abroad will also get to join the celebration, with the festival scheduled for a YRF International release in regions including the Middle East, North America, Europe, New Zealand, and Australia.

Sharing his excitement online, Khan took to Instagram with his trademark humour and humility. “Some of my previous films are coming back to theatres. The man in them hasn’t changed much — just the hair... and a little more handsome. The Shah Rukh Khan Film Festival begins on 31st October! In select theatres across India,” he wrote. The post quickly went viral, with fans calling the announcement the “perfect birthday treat.”
With the festival offering a nostalgic trip through SRK’s remarkable body of work, it serves as both a tribute to his legacy and a reminder of his unmatched connection with audiences worldwide. As the actor turns 60, his star power — much like his on-screen charm — shows no signs of fading.
