Veteran actor Saira Banu paid an emotional tribute to her late husband, the legendary Dilip Kumar, on his fourth death anniversary, describing him as an enduring inspiration for six generations of actors and a timeless icon. In a poignant Instagram post, Banu shared a montage of photos and videos celebrating Kumar’s illustrious career, featuring classics like Mughal-E-Azam, Devdas, Naya Daur, and Ram Aur Shyam.
“The dearth of Sahib could never go. I am still with him. One in thought, in mind, in life,” Banu wrote, reflecting on their profound bond. “Each year, this day finds me cradling Sahib’s memories like delicate blossoms.” The 80-year-old actor, known for films like Junglee, Gopi, and Ayee Milan Ki Bela, hailed Kumar as “an entire era” whose influence continues to guide aspiring artists.
Beyond his cinematic legacy, Banu reminisced about Kumar’s personal charm, recalling an evening filled with classical music at their home where he quietly sought rest amid a lively gathering. “He made the ordinary moments eternal,” she wrote, emphasizing his wit, tenderness, and ability to infuse every interaction with lasting love. “Dilip Sahib is forever.
