Netflix’s upcoming espionage thriller “Saare Jahan Se Accha,” starring Pratik Gandhi, is set to premiere on August 13, 2025, the streaming giant announced Thursday. Set in the volatile 1970s, the fictional series follows intelligence officer Vishnu Shankar (Gandhi) as he navigates a high-stakes covert mission to thwart a nuclear threat, balancing duty and moral dilemmas in a tense, politically charged landscape.
Created by Gaurav Shukla and produced by Bombay Fables, the show boasts a stellar cast, including Sunny Hinduja, Suhail Nayyar, Kritika Kamra, Tillotama Shome, Rajat Kapoor, and Anup Soni. Directed by Sumit Purohit, the series promises intense drama, with Vishnu racing against time to outmaneuver adversaries and safeguard India’s future. “Playing Vishnu was one of my most challenging roles,” Gandhi said, highlighting the character’s tightrope walk between duty and ethics.
Written by a talented team including Bhavesh Mandalia, Gaurav Shukla, and others, the series blends urgency and suspense. Mandalia also serves as creative producer alongside executive producers Shukla, Sejal Shah, and Aditya Nimbalkar. With its gripping narrative and stellar performances, “Saare Jahan Se Accha” aims to captivate audiences with its exploration of espionage and sacrifice.
