Bollywood singer Neha Kakkar found herself in the middle of controversy after arriving three hours late for her live concert in Melbourne. A video circulating on Reddit shows the singer breaking down on stage, apologising, and thanking the audience for their patience.
In the video, Kakkar, visibly emotional, tells the crowd, "Guys, you are really sweet! You have been patient. Itni der se aap log wait kar rahe ho (You have been waiting for so long). I hate it, maine life mein kabhi kisi ko wait nahi karwaya hai (I have never made anyone wait for so long). Aap itni der se wait kar rahe ho, I'm so sorry! It means a lot to me. I will remember this evening forever."
However, the audience response was far from sympathetic. Some fans heckled her, shouting, "Go back! Rest in your hotel," while another added, "This is not India, you're in Australia." Another frustrated attendee said, "We have been waiting for three hours," while someone sarcastically remarked, "Very good acting! This is not Indian Idol."
The mixed reactions quickly spread online, sparking debate over the delay and Kakkar’s emotional response. Prior to the Melbourne concert, the singer performed in Sydney, sharing glimpses of her show on Instagram.
Neha Kakkar is known for chartbusters like ‘Badri Ki Dulhaniya’, ‘Sunny Sunny’, ‘Coca Cola’, ‘Garmi’, and ‘Gali Gali’.
Neha Kakkar is the younger sister of singers Tony Kakkar and Sonu Kakkar. She has appeared in many music videos and as a judge on several singing-based reality shows, including Indian Idol.
