Speaking with Siddharth Kannan, she reflected on her journey through setbacks and recovery while continuing to pursue her passion for acting.
Mahima revealed that after her debut, she faced multiple career obstacles, including legal disputes over alleged contracts and being dropped from several films. “I had my accident, then I sat at home for a year,” she said, explaining how this period of forced hiatus tested her resolve and patience.
The actor revisited the horrific car accident she endured in 1999 while shooting Dil Kya Kare, which left her with severe facial injuries. She described, “There were 67 tiny glass pieces that had to be meticulously removed under a microscope. My face was swollen and out of shape, and I couldn’t even go out in the sunlight.”
