Actress Hansika Motwani and businessman Sohael Khaturiya were granted a divorce by the family court in Mumbai’s Bandra on Wednesday, ending their marriage that began in December 2022. The couple has been living separately since July 2024, and they do not have any children.

According to court filings, the divorce was sought through a mutual consent petition. Reports indicate that Hansika opted not to claim any streedhan or alimony from Sohael. She was represented in the proceedings by advocate Adnan Shaikh.

The couple had a high-profile traditional Hindu wedding at Mandota Fort in Jaipur on December 4, 2022. However, they stayed together for only a short period before realizing fundamental differences in temperament, opinions, and lifestyle made cohabitation increasingly difficult.

The court documents highlighted that minor arguments had escalated over time, and despite multiple efforts by family, relatives, and friends to reconcile them, the couple mutually decided to part ways. Both Hansika and Sohael agreed that ending the marriage was the most viable option.

Hansika began her career as a child artist, featuring in the TV show Shaka Laka Boom Boom, and later appeared in the serial Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand. She also acted in the film Koi... Mil Gaya alongside Hrithik Roshan, marking her early foray into films.

With the court’s decision, Hansika Motwani and Sohael Khaturiya’s marriage has officially ended amicably, with Hansika choosing to forgo alimony and streedhan, bringing closure to the high-profile union.
