Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2 has completed its first week in Indian theatres with a reported domestic net collection of ₹113.50 crore. The film maintained a strong pace through its opening week, crossing the ₹100-crore mark despite witnessing some fluctuation in its weekday earnings. Its performance has emerged as a major milestone for Hashmi and the Bhatt banner. The sequel opened with considerable anticipation, helped by the popularity of the original Awarapan and Hashmi’s association with the franchise. According to the reported figures, the film earned more than ₹8 crore through advance bookings alone.
The strong pre-release response was followed by a successful opening weekend, during which Awarapan 2 collected more than ₹81 crore net in India. The film continued to benefit from its strong start during the early part of the week. While a decline in collections was expected after the weekend, Awarapan 2 managed to hold its ground during the initial weekdays. The sustained performance indicated that the film had retained audience interest beyond its opening days, a factor that helped it build a substantial first-week total.
The movie, however, witnessed a dip on Wednesday, when it collected ₹6.75 crore net at the domestic box office. Despite the decline, the film remained comfortably above the levels generally associated with a weak weekday performance. Its Wednesday collection suggested that the film was still drawing audiences even after the initial release-day and weekend rush had subsided. On Thursday, Awarapan 2 reportedly collected ₹6 crore net in India. This represented a drop of approximately 10% from Wednesday’s figure. Although the collection was marginally lower, the film’s ability to remain near the ₹6-crore mark on the seventh day helped it finish its opening week on a positive note.

The Thursday performance also contributed to the film’s overall stability at the ticket window. With a first-week domestic net collection of ₹113.50 crore, Awarapan 2 has become the first Emraan Hashmi-led film to enter the ₹100-crore club. The achievement gives the actor his highest-grossing film to date, according to the reported box-office figures. The milestone is significant for Hashmi, whose career has included several commercially successful films but had not previously produced a solo-led ₹100-crore grosser. The film’s run is also being described as a major success for the Bhatt banner.
Awarapan 2 was positioned as a mid-budget release, making its first-week total particularly notable. A collection exceeding ₹113 crore in seven days provides the film with a strong foundation for its second weekend, when audience footfall and occupancy could determine whether it continues its theatrical run at the same pace. The sequel’s performance also reflects the commercial value of established franchises and recognisable stars in the Hindi film industry. While the opening was supported by advance bookings and audience familiarity with the original film, the weekday hold indicates that the movie has attracted viewers beyond its initial fan base. Its next phase at the box office will depend on competition from other releases, show availability and its ability to maintain collections after the first weekend.
