Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan has acquired 2.67 acres of land in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, for Rs 35 crore, marking his third investment in the city through the realty firm House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL) and fourth overall. The transaction was executed on Friday by Rajesh Yadav, Managing Director of AB Corp Ltd, the company associated with the deal.
The land parcel is located near HoABL’s 75-acre luxury development, The Sarayu. Bachchan had previously purchased land parcels in The Sarayu project in January 2024. His other investments with HoABL include a 10,000-square-foot plot in the Sol de Alibaug project.
Abhinandan Lodha, Chairman of HoABL, said Bachchan’s acquisition “reflects a shared belief in land as an inter-generational asset that preserves value over the long term.” He added that Ayodhya, supported by sustained infrastructure development and public investment, is emerging as a promising destination for long-term land ownership and value creation.

Founded in 2020, HoABL has grown into one of India’s leading branded land developers, emphasizing transparency, technology, and trust. The company has sold over 13 million sq ft of developed land within five years and currently has 34 million sq ft under active development.
HoABL has a presence in multiple locations, including Alibaug, Anjarle, Ayodhya, Vrindavan, Dapoli, Goa, Khopoli, Nagpur, and Neral, with upcoming developments planned in Amritsar, Shimla, and Varanasi. The company is also entering vertical real estate, with three projects in Mumbai totaling 3.1 million sq ft, and plans to expand to 48 cities across India to meet growing demand for plotted developments in infrastructure-driven and tourist-centric destinations.
Bachchan’s continued investment in HoABL projects highlights both the actor’s interest in long-term land assets and Ayodhya’s growing appeal as a destination for high-value real estate investment.
