Tata Motors is set to launch the facelifted version of the Punch EV on February 20, expanding its electric vehicle portfolio with updated styling and added features. The micro electric SUV follows the recent update of the ICE-powered Punch and is expected to receive both cosmetic and equipment enhancements over the outgoing model, which could also lead to a marginal price revision.
The most noticeable changes are at the front, where Tata has reworked the design for a cleaner, more modern look. The earlier black trim linking the headlamps has been replaced by a closed-off grille section, giving the EV a more streamlined appearance. A continuous LED light bar now connects the daytime running lights, while the front bumper’s lower scuff plate has been subtly redesigned. The facelift also introduces new aero-efficient alloy wheels inspired by the larger Nexon EV.
To freshen up the colour palette, Tata is expected to offer a new exterior shade inspired by the Harrier’s ‘Sunlit Yellow’, paired with a contrasting black roof. While official images of the rear are yet to be revealed, the facelifted Punch EV is likely to feature connected LED tail lamps, similar to the updated petrol version.

Inside the cabin, major layout changes are not anticipated, but feature upgrades are expected. A new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system running Tata’s latest software could be introduced. Other features likely to continue include a 10.25-inch digital driver display, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, a 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, an auto-dimming IRVM, and connected car technology. Safety could also see a boost with the expected addition of Level 2 ADAS.
Mechanically, the Punch EV facelift will retain its existing battery options of 25 kWh and 35 kWh. The smaller battery delivers 82 hp and 114 Nm with a claimed range of 265 km, while the larger unit produces 122 hp and 190 Nm, offering up to 365 km on a single charge, as per ARAI figures.
