The Toyota Innova Hycross facelift is expected to receive a significant styling update when the refreshed MPV arrives in India. Test vehicles have been spotted with heavy camouflage, particularly around the front and rear sections, indicating changes to the exterior design. The facelift is expected to bring the model closer to Toyota's latest global styling direction while retaining its familiar overall silhouette. Toyota has not yet officially disclosed details about the updated model or confirmed its launch timeline.

The biggest changes are expected at the front, where the Innova Hycross could adopt a more upright and aggressive appearance. Spy images suggest a larger and squarer grille, revised bumper elements and new diamond-shaped air inlets. The test vehicle also appears to feature slimmer headlamps with projector units, although final production specifications could differ. These revisions are expected to give the MPV a more contemporary appearance without substantially changing its proportions or side profile.

Changes at the rear are likely to be more subtle, with revisions expected for the bumper and internal elements of the tail lamps. The cabin, meanwhile, appears to retain most of its existing architecture in the available spy images. Toyota could introduce an updated infotainment system, although there is no clear confirmation yet of a larger touchscreen. The current model's higher variants feature a 10.1-inch touchscreen, while other possible updates could include revised upholstery, software functions and equipment levels.

Competition in India's premium MPV and three-row vehicle market is also becoming stronger. The Innova Hycross and Maruti Suzuki Invicto have remained prominent choices for buyers seeking a strong-hybrid MPV, but newer electrified products are increasing pressure on established models. Vehicles such as the MG Hector Tomahawk PHEV and Kia Sorento Hybrid are adding more alternatives for buyers considering electrified three-row vehicles in the higher-price segments.

With the facelift, Toyota is expected to concentrate on keeping the Innova Hycross competitive through refreshed styling and additional features rather than a major mechanical overhaul. The heavy camouflage seen on recent test vehicles suggests that several exterior elements remain under development or concealed. Final specifications, equipment changes, pricing and launch details are expected to be announced closer to the model's official debut.
