BYD has launched a special First Anniversary Edition of its electric SUV, the Sealion 7, in India to mark one year since the model’s debut. Bookings for the Anniversary Edition are now open, with customers required to pay a token amount of Rs. 70,000 to reserve the vehicle. The new edition features cosmetic upgrades, additional ownership benefits, and retains the SUV’s advanced technical features.
Under the hood, the Sealion 7 Anniversary Edition continues to use BYD’s Cell-to-Body (CTB) construction combined with the Blade Battery setup, designed for enhanced strength and safety. The low-voltage battery now employs LFP technology and comes with an extended warranty of eight years or 1,50,000 km. Key features like Intelligence Torque Adaptation Control (iTAC) for traction management and Vehicle-to-Load (VTOL) functionality for powering external devices remain standard.
Performance specifications are unchanged. The top-spec Performance variant accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, while the Premium trim completes the same in 6.7 seconds. Both trims are powered by an 82.56 kWh battery, offering an NEDC-rated range of 542 km for the Performance variant and 567 km for the Premium version.

The cabin is equipped with a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, quilted Nappa leather seats, ambient lighting with multiple colour options, a panoramic glass roof, and a 12-speaker sound system. Additional comforts include ventilated and heated seats, and wireless charging support.
Priced at Rs. 49.40 lakh for the Premium variant and Rs. 54.90 lakh for the Performance variant (ex-showroom), the Anniversary Edition also offers attractive ownership benefits. The first 1,100 buyers will receive an 11 kW home charger with installation at no extra cost, along with two years of complimentary service and maintenance.
With this special edition, BYD continues to strengthen its electric vehicle lineup in India, which already includes models like the Atto 3, eMAX 7, and Seal, aiming to appeal to early adopters seeking advanced EV technology and premium features.
