BMW Group India achieved its highest-ever annual sales in 2025, delivering a total of 18,001 vehicles and recording a robust 14 percent year-on-year growth. Of this figure, BMW-branded cars accounted for 17,271 units, while MINI contributed 730 units. The milestone marks the fourth consecutive year of double-digit growth for the luxury carmaker in the Indian market, with sales momentum consistently outperforming the average growth rate of the luxury segment across all quarters.
The October-December 2025 period proved particularly strong, with BMW registering its highest-ever quarterly sales of 6,023 units, reflecting more than 17 percent year-on-year growth. SUVs emerged as the primary driver of this success, with the segment posting a 22 percent increase to 10,748 units sold. SUVs now represent 60 percent of BMW’s total car sales in India, led by strong demand for models such as the BMW X1 and X5. The BMW X1 stood out as the brand’s best-selling model for the year.
Electric vehicles also played a pivotal role in BMW’s performance. The company sold 3,753 BMW and MINI electric vehicles in 2025, marking an impressive over 200 percent year-on-year growth. EVs accounted for 21 percent of total BMW India sales, a significant jump from 8 percent in 2024. The BMW iX1, particularly the long-wheelbase variant, emerged as the highest-selling electric vehicle not only for BMW but across the entire premium EV segment in India.

Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO of BMW Group India, attributed the growth to balanced demand across segments, including internal combustion engine vehicles, electric models, SAVs, sedans, and long-wheelbase offerings. He highlighted the brand’s leadership in the luxury electric space as a key factor in expanding the overall luxury car market in the country. The company supported this momentum with an aggressive product offensive, launching 20 new models across its car and motorcycle portfolio during the year, including the BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase, new BMW X3, BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, MINI JCW Countryman All4, and MINI Convertible.
BMW Motorrad also delivered a solid performance, selling 5,841 motorcycles in 2025. The BMW G 310 RR remained the top-selling model with over 24 percent growth, while larger-capacity motorcycles such as the S 1000 RR, 900 GS/GSA, and 1300 GS/GSA saw strengthened demand. BMW Group India’s record-breaking year underscores its strengthening position in the luxury automotive segment, driven by a well-rounded portfolio, strong SUV and EV sales, and continued focus on new product introductions.
