Tata Motors has officially unveiled the facelifted versions of the Tata Tiago and Tata Tiago EV ahead of their scheduled price announcement on May 28. The updated models receive substantial exterior and interior revisions aimed at strengthening the hatchbacks’ appeal in India’s highly competitive entry-level segment. The launch follows closely on the heels of the refreshed Tata Punch, signaling the automaker’s broader strategy to modernize its passenger vehicle lineup.
The most noticeable changes come in the exterior styling of both the internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric variants. The redesigned front fascia now features sharper headlamps paired with eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lights, giving the Tiago a more aggressive and contemporary appearance. The petrol-powered version receives a larger black grille inspired by the styling of the Tata Altroz, while the EV variant adopts a body-coloured closed-off front panel, differentiating it visually from its combustion counterpart.
From the side profile, the overall silhouette remains familiar, although new 15-inch alloy wheels have been introduced to freshen the hatchback’s appearance. At the rear, the facelift brings revised taillights featuring a triple vertical-line design connected by a horizontal strip extending toward the central Tata badge. The tailgate now prominently displays “TIAGO” lettering, while the rear bumper has also been redesigned for a cleaner and more modern finish.

Inside the cabin, Tata Motors has revamped the dashboard layout and introduced an illuminated logo on the steering wheel. The facelifted Tiago range also gains an updated instrument cluster and a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system. While the complete features list has not yet been officially disclosed, the models are expected to offer several premium additions including six airbags, a 360-degree camera, automatic headlights, cruise control, a cooled glovebox, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), bringing the hatchbacks closer to higher-segment vehicles in terms of equipment.
Mechanically, the petrol-powered Tiago facelift is expected to continue with the existing 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine producing 86 hp and 113 Nm of torque. Transmission choices are likely to include a five-speed manual gearbox and a five-speed AMT. Tata is also expected to retain the CNG variant, which develops 75 hp and 96 Nm of peak torque. Meanwhile, the Tiago EV facelift is anticipated to continue with two battery pack options — a 19.2 kWh unit offering a claimed range of 223 km and a larger 24 kWh pack delivering up to 293 km on a full charge.
Although official pricing will only be announced at launch, industry expectations suggest a marginal increase over the current models due to the extensive updates and added features. At present, the Tiago ICE is priced between Rs 4.60 lakh and Rs 7.68 lakh, while the Tiago EV ranges from Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 11.14 lakh. The refreshed models are expected to help Tata Motors strengthen its position in both the affordable hatchback and entry-level electric vehicle segments in India.
