BMW Motorrad has unveiled a teaser for the updated G 310 RR, its entry-level fully-faired sportbike, signaling a significant overhaul in performance, electronics, and aesthetics. Built in collaboration with TVS, the 2025 BMW G 310 RR is poised to adopt several advancements debuted on the recently updated TVS Apache RR 310, elevating its appeal in the competitive sub-400cc segment.
The heart of the G 310 RR remains its 312.2cc single-cylinder engine, shared with the Apache RR 310. TVS recently re-engineered this motor, incorporating a larger airbox, a lighter forged piston, a bigger throttle body, and a higher compression ratio. These modifications boosted the Apache’s output to approximately 38 horsepower at 9,800 rpm and 29 Nm of torque at 7,900 rpm, up from the previous 34 horsepower and 27.3 Nm. Given the shared platform, the updated G 310 RR is expected to deliver similar performance gains, offering riders a more exhilarating experience.

The 2025 G 310 RR is set to inherit a sophisticated electronics package from its TVS counterpart. The Apache RR 310’s recent update introduced rider aids such as launch control, cornering drag torque control, a bi-directional quickshifter, and cruise control. These features are anticipated to make their way into the G 310 RR, enhancing its performance and rider safety. This electronics upgrade positions the G 310 RR as a technologically advanced contender in its class, catering to both spirited riders and those seeking refined control.
Visually, the G 310 RR is expected to receive subtle yet impactful updates. The Apache RR 310 recently gained aerodynamic winglets, which TVS claims generate up to three kilograms of downforce at higher speeds. BMW is likely to integrate similar aerodynamic elements, sharpening the G 310 RR’s styling while improving stability. Additional cosmetic enhancements may include a transparent clutch cover and new eight-spoke alloy wheels, aligning the bike’s design with its performance upgrades.
The current BMW G 310 RR is priced at ₹3.05 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the top-spec TVS Apache RR 310 retails for approximately ₹2.95 lakh. BMW typically commands a premium of around ₹20,000 over its TVS equivalent, and this trend is expected to continue. The updated G 310 RR is likely to be priced in the ₹3.25-3.30 lakh range. However, recent revisions to the GST structure may mitigate the impact of this price increase, making the bike more accessible to enthusiasts.
The 2025 BMW G 310 RR is shaping up to be a compelling upgrade, blending enhanced power, advanced electronics, and aerodynamic refinements. With these updates, BMW Motorrad aims to strengthen the G 310 RR’s position as a premium yet accessible sportbike, appealing to riders seeking performance and sophistication in the entry-level segment. The official launch is eagerly awaited, with expectations high for a bike that builds on its TVS roots while carrying BMW’s hallmark engineering.
