Harley-Davidson has discontinued the base Denim variant of its X440 motorcycle in India and reduced prices for the remaining Vivid and S trims. The Vivid variant is now priced at ₹2,34,500, a reduction of ₹20,000, while the premium S trim sees a ₹24,600 cut, bringing it to ₹2,54,900 (ex-showroom). The move follows the launch of the new X440T, aimed at expanding Harley-Davidson’s portfolio in India.
The X440T, priced at ₹2.39 lakh, marks Harley-Davidson’s second-smallest bike in the Indian market. Built on the same platform as the X440, it features subtle design updates to differentiate it from its sibling. Its debut aligns with the company’s refreshed cruiser lineup, targeting riders looking for a balance of style, performance, and modern technology.
Powered by a 440cc single-cylinder engine, the X440 produces 27bhp at 6,000rpm and 38 Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. The six-speed gearbox and slip-assist clutch ensure smooth and responsive performance for both city commutes and highway rides. Handling is enhanced with 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, upside-down front forks, and twin rear shock absorbers.

With the Denim trim discontinued, the Vivid variant now serves as the entry-level option. It features multi-spoke alloy wheels, auto LED headlamp, TFT display, KYB suspension, and comes in Metallic Thick Red, Metallic Dark Silver, Mustard, and Goldfish Silver. The updated variant offers a modern yet familiar experience for riders seeking value and performance.
The S trim continues as the premium offering, equipped with diamond-cut alloy multi-spoke wheels, a distinctive 3D fuel-tank emblem, and a 3.5-inch TFT display with Connect 2.0 technology for smartphone pairing, navigation, and music control. Matte Black and Baja Orange color options enhance its visual appeal, while additional premium touches make it the most feature-rich X440 model.
By streamlining the X440 lineup and revising prices, Harley-Davidson aims to attract a broader audience of cruiser enthusiasts in India. The updated portfolio ensures riders have access to both value-driven and feature-packed options, reinforcing the brand’s presence in the competitive mid-capacity motorcycle segment.
