BMW Motorrad officially revealed the production-spec BMW F 450 GS adventure bike at the EICMA 2025 show, marking a significant step in its GS lineup with a sporty, mid-capacity model. Co-developed with Indian manufacturer TVS, the F 450 GS features a newly developed 450cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine delivering 48 PS power at 8,750 rpm and 43 Nm torque at 6,750 rpm. The engine includes a Quickshifter Pro for smooth clutchless gear shifting, and the bike weighs approximately 175-178 kg kerb weight.
Design-wise, the F 450 GS echoes key styling from its earlier concept version, sporting a sculpted fuel tank, angular side fairings, and a dynamic front with a pointed beak-like extension. Its headlamp design is influenced by BMW’s flagship R 1300 GS, with striking X-shaped LED daytime running lights. The rear features a sleek tail lamp, lending the bike an aggressive, ready-for-adventure look.
Performance is supported by premium components including 19-inch front and 17-inch rear tubeless wheels, KYB upside-down front forks with adjustable preload and rebound, and a KYB rear mono-shock. Braking is handled by Brembo at the front and ByBre at the rear, paired with BMW Motorrad’s advanced ABS Pro system, Dynamic Brake Control, and traction and drag torque controls. The bike offers multiple riding modes such as Rain, Road, Enduro, and an off-road focused Enduro Pro variant in higher trims.

The F 450 GS is equipped with a 6.5-inch TFT display featuring smartphone connectivity, standard features like heated grips and adjustable levers, and the option of an Easy Ride Clutch (ERC) for enhanced riding comfort. Offered in Cosmic Black and Racing Red, the lineup includes four variants: Basic, Exclusive, Sport, and Trophy, with the Trophy trim featuring additional off-road accessories and premium equipment.
As BMW continues to deepen its partnership with TVS and expand production in India, the F 450 GS is positioned as a versatile, accessible adventure tourer. Its blend of modern technology, manageable power, and robust off-road capabilities make it a compelling option for both experienced and newer riders seeking adventure touring at a competitive capacity.
