Samsung India has expanded its Samsung Care+ service to include extended warranty plans for a broader range of home appliances, allowing customers to opt for additional coverage on refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, microwave ovens, and smart TVs. Announced on November 10, 2025, the update builds on the program's initial launch in 2019 for Galaxy smartphones, now extending affordable protection plans priced as low as Rs. 2 per day. Users can select coverage durations from one to four years, ensuring continued access to genuine parts and certified engineers.
The plans introduce industry-first features such as coverage for software updates and screen malfunctions—excluding physical damage—positioning Samsung as a pioneer in comprehensive post-purchase support for consumer electronics. This move addresses common concerns like unexpected repair costs and obsolescence, providing peace of mind through the company's network of authorised service centres across the country.
Samsung emphasised the accessibility of the service, with flexible options designed to suit varying budgets and usage needs. Customers purchasing eligible appliances can add Care+ at the point of sale or later through Samsung's official channels, streamlining the process for hassle-free claims and repairs.
